Please join us on November 18th at 1:00PM EST to welcome Chaoqun Ni and Xiang Zheng from University of Wisconsin – Madison as they discuss their research on the nature of scholarly activity before and after tenure.
In the words of the authors: “Tenure is a cornerstone of the U.S. academic system, yet its relationship to faculty research trajectories remains poorly understood. Our analysis of over 12,000 U.S. tenure-line faculty reveals that while publication rates peak just before tenure and stabilize afterward - with variations across disciplines - post-tenure research becomes more novel and high-risk but generally yields fewer highly cited papers.”
Thank you for joining the discussion on this important topic, we look forward to seeing you there!
